For art with smaller frames, packing paper and bubble wrap typically do the trick – we pack these items into lighter boxes that contain other fragile items and mark them accordingly to ensure safety during transport.
Larger paintings and pictures are wrapped in a blanket, secured with stretch wrap, and placed in a movers box. To provide additional protection for precious art pieces, special cardboard protectors can be used to secure the corners of the frames.

When packing art and pictures, it is crucial to take caution in choosing the right packing materials. For example, newspaper is not recommended, as the ink on the paper can easily rub off onto frames or glass – even if the paper does not get wet.
Packing peanuts tend to break into small pieces that are able to get wedged into tiny spaces, such as frames, and can very easily stick to glass surfaces and ruin the piece.
