The Responsibility of Moving Tubs Safely

Our years of experience moving hot tubs mean that we can move your tub to and from virtually anywhere, safely.

Even if your hot tub is up on a balcony, our teams have tools and tricks, like hoisting, to get the item up and down stairs without causing damage to the tub or the surroundings.

How to Get an Accurate Quote for a Hot Tub Move

Before we move your hot tub, it’s crucial that we have an idea of what to expect. During the process of getting a quote, we will ask for an estimate of the weight of the tub as well as a model number. If you have photos you can provide us with, these are also extremely helpful for us to be able to plan accordingly.

Please also be prepared to provide us with a description of the area that the hot tub is in, including terrain, any constraining variables (i.e. trees or fences), and distance to nearest available loading area.

What to Do Before We Arrive

Our years of experience moving hot tubs means we have been able to streamline the process. When a mover and moving company work together, there is nothing that cannot be done.

There are a few things you can do to help the moving process of your hot tub go even smoother:

  • Disconnect your spa from its electrical outlet. Make sure all cords are unplugged and put away, so that nothing is dangling from the hot tub. We’ve found that it’s best to place cords in waterproof baggies – this prevents them from getting damp or wet during the process.
  • Drain all of the water out of the spa. Keep in mind that draining the hot tub is much different from simply dumping out the water. Dumping out a large amount of water can damage the surrounding terrain, making it more difficult to work with, or even flood your yard. Consult the manufacturer’s instructions to find the best solution for draining your hot tub properly.
  • Clean out the hot tub prior to the move. This includes both the interior and exterior of the tub. This, like the other steps, helps avoid unexpected issues from arising during the moving process.
