White-Glove Moving

Also known as: White-Glove Service, Premium Moving

Definition

White-Glove Moving is a premium service tier where the crew handles every detail beyond standard moving — full packing with premium materials, custom crating, floor and wall protection, furniture disassembly and reassembly, placement at the new location, and unpacking — with attention to high-value or design-sensitive items.

In practice

What it means on a move.

White-glove moves are designed for clients moving designer furniture, fine art, antiques, custom millwork, electronics, or designer-coordinated interiors. The crew arrives with floor runners, padded ramps, wall-corner protection, blanket-wrap for every piece, and crating materials for anything fragile. Items are placed exactly where you want them — not just inside the door — and boxes are unpacked and removed at no extra cost. The job typically involves a senior crew lead, a higher crew-to-item ratio, and direct coordination with interior designers, builders, realtors, or property managers.

Stakes

Why this matters.

Standard moves are optimized for speed and labor cost. White-glove moves are optimized for risk and presentation. If you've spent six figures on furniture, art, or a custom-built interior, the difference between a standard crew and a white-glove crew is the difference between a few scratches and a flawless reset. White-glove is also the default for designer clients, builder hand-offs, and high-end real estate transactions where the client expects everything in place before they walk in.

Our process

How Muscleman Elite handles it.

Muscleman Elite is built for white-glove work — most other movers refer their highest-end jobs to us. Our white-glove service includes pre-move walk-throughs with the client (and the designer if applicable), full crating where needed, premium materials on every piece, and post-move walk-throughs to confirm placement and condition. Available across all 6 Texas locations.

Questions we get

About White-Glove Moving.

How much more does white-glove cost?
Depending on the move, white-glove typically runs 1.5x to 3x a standard local move, reflecting the higher crew-to-item ratio, premium materials, and full packing/unpacking. For high-value moves, the math almost always favors white-glove.
Do I need white-glove for a regular move?
Not always. If your move is mostly standard furniture and you can pack and unpack yourself, a standard crew is fine. White-glove is for clients who want every detail handled — including placement, unpacking, and box removal.
Can interior designers coordinate the move with you?
Yes — designers are some of our most frequent referrers. We work directly with the designer on placement, timing, and any special-handling items so the install matches the design intent.
