Corporate Relocation

Also known as: Employer-paid move, Workforce relocation

Definition

A corporate relocation is a move where the customer's employer pays for some or all of the moving expenses, typically managed through a Relocation Management Company (RMC) like Cartus, Sirva, Aires, or Graebel.

In practice

What it means on a move.

Corporate relocations follow specific authorization workflows: HR confirms the relocation budget with the RMC, the RMC selects an approved carrier from its preferred-mover list, the carrier conducts the estimate, the RMC authorizes the move, the carrier executes. Payment flows from the employer to the RMC to the carrier — the employee customer typically pays nothing out of pocket (or pays only specific exceptions). Common scope: full pack, long-distance transit, white-glove delivery, storage in transit if needed, sometimes home-sale assistance.

Stakes

Why this matters.

Corporate relocations are a different animal from typical residential moves. The customer doesn't pick the mover (RMC does), the scope is dictated by the corporate policy, and the timing is often tight (1-3 weeks from job offer). For the customer, the key thing is: ask your HR/Mobility administrator who the RMC is, then ask the RMC which carriers are on the approved list. If you have a preference (we hope it's us), tell the RMC.

Our process

How Muscleman Elite handles it.

Muscleman Elite is on preferred-mover lists at Cartus, Sirva, Aires, Graebel, and multiple Texas corporate-relocation accounts (ExxonMobil, Diamondback, Halliburton, SLB, Baker Hughes, Tesla, Apple). Corporate-relocation customers should request us specifically through their RMC.
