Full-Service Move
Also known as: Full-Service Moving, Complete Move Service
Definition
A Full-Service Move is a move where the carrier handles every step — packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking — using carrier-supplied materials and crew labor for the entire process, rather than the customer handling any portion themselves.
In practice
What it means on a move.
A full-service move typically begins one or two days before move day, when the packing crew arrives with boxes, dish-pack, mirror cartons, wardrobe boxes, paper, bubble, and tape. The crew packs every room — kitchen, closets, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, garage — and labels every box. On move day, the loading crew pad-wraps furniture, loads the truck, transports to the destination, unloads, places furniture, and unpacks boxes if the scope includes unpacking. Packing materials are included; box and packing-debris removal is typically included. The customer’s job is to identify what to take versus leave, verify the inventory, and confirm placement at the destination.
Stakes
Why this matters.
Full-service is the right fit for customers who want to minimize their own labor and exposure: busy professionals, families with young children, seniors downsizing, designer clients, and long-distance moves where the customer is flying ahead of the truck. The trade-off is cost — full-service runs significantly more than a partial or self-pack move because crew time on packing is substantial. The advantages are speed (a crew of 4 packs a home in a fraction of the time the homeowner could), liability (Full Value Protection covers crew-packed cartons fully, where PBO cartons are restricted), and reduced stress on move day. For high-value households, the math often favors full-service.
Our process
How Muscleman Elite handles it.
Muscleman Elite offers full-service moves across all 6 Texas locations. We provide all packing materials when our crew does the packing. The crew packs in the day or days before move day, pad-wraps and loads on move day, transports, unloads, and places furniture at the destination. Unpacking and box removal are available in scope. Full-service quotes are built from an in-home or photo/video walk-through and stated on the written estimate before booking.
Questions we get
About Full-Service Move.
- What is the difference between full-service and white-glove?
- Full-service covers the complete pack-load-transport-unload-unpack workflow with standard premium materials. White-glove is the next tier — designer-coordinated install, custom crating, floor and wall protection throughout, exact placement per plan, post-move walk-through. Full-service is the default for most customers; white-glove is for designer-grade and high-value moves.
- How much does a full-service move cost?
- Depends on home size, number of rooms, specialty items, and distance. Full-service runs significantly more than a partial-pack move because crew time on packing is substantial. We provide the exact cost on the written estimate after a walk-through. For high-value households, the math often favors full-service because of the time saved and the Full Value Protection coverage on crew-packed cartons.
- Are packing materials included in a full-service move?
- Yes — when our crew does the packing, we provide all packing materials (boxes, dish-pack, mirror cartons, wardrobe boxes, paper, tape) as part of the service. Customers handling their own packing can order materials during booking or use our recommended supplier list.
