Move Coordinator
Also known as: Move manager, Customer success
Definition
A move coordinator is the moving company's designated point of contact who manages a customer's move from estimate to delivery, handling logistics, scheduling, paperwork, and any issues that arise.
In practice
What it means on a move.
On corporate relocations, the move coordinator works with both the customer and the RMC (Cartus, Sirva, Aires, Graebel). On residential moves, the move coordinator is the single phone number the customer calls for any move-related question. They handle: estimate scheduling, contract paperwork, crew assignment, COI requests, schedule changes, COD payment, storage arrangements, and damage claims.
Stakes
Why this matters.
Move coordinators reduce customer anxiety and prevent communication failures. Without one, customers bounce between sales reps, warehouse staff, crew leads, and billing — each with partial information. With a move coordinator, every question routes to one person who has the full picture. Customers should ask: 'Who is my point of contact?'
