Tech Ridge Center / The Shops at Tech Ridge is the retail and services anchor along I-35 between Parmer Lane and Center Ridge Drive — the orientation point most residents use, and a convenient staging stop for packing supplies or move-day food. The Dell Parmer campus off Tech Ridge Boulevard is the dominant employer landmark; a portion of the corporate-relocation work we see in this area is tied to transfers in and out of campuses in this corridor. The residential mix here is distinct from west-side Austin: a large stock of apartment and mid-rise communities built from the 2000s onward along Tech Ridge Boulevard, Dessau Road, and the Center Lake / Scottsdale pockets, layered over established single-family subdivisions from the mid-1980s and 1990s farther north. North Oaks and the sections north toward Howard Lane carry much of the single-family inventory; Pioneer Crossing (toward the 78754 side) is one of the larger master-planned single-family areas nearby.

The area straddles a jurisdiction line. Much of Tech Ridge falls in the 78753 and 78754 ZIP codes and is zoned to Pflugerville ISD rather than Austin ISD — verify the exact attendance zone and city limit per address, because it shifts within a few blocks here.
