Quick answer
Muscleman Elite runs long-distance moves from Buda, Kyle, and San Marcos on a dedicated truck dispatched from our Kyle office — only your goods on board, the same crew at load and delivery, and a 1–3 day delivery window written into a flat estimate. In-Texas lanes usually deliver the next business day.
Buda & Kyle reality
Buda and Kyle are where a lot of Central Texas families bought their first house, and where a lot of them leave from when the next job is somewhere else. The corridor runs on I-35: San Antonio is an hour south, Dallas–Fort Worth a long morning north, Houston east on SH 71 and I-10. Most of our long-distance work here is a family in Plum Creek, Sunfield, Whispering Hollow, or Waterleaf taking a transfer to one of those three metros, a household leaving a new-construction subdivision for out of state, or the reverse — a family arriving from California, Illinois, or Arizona into a house that closed last week.
Three local patterns show up over and over. Military orders. Joint Base San Antonio is close enough that PCS moves in and out of Hays County are routine, and Fort Cavazos is a couple of hours up I-35. Texas State University in San Marcos. Every May and August a wave of small long-distance loads leaves for hometowns across the state. New construction closing dates. Sunfield and the newer Kyle subdivisions run on builder schedules, and a delayed closing at the destination is the most common reason a Buda or Kyle household needs storage in transit.
The practical difference for a customer here is where the truck starts. Our Buda & Kyle office is on Dacy Lane in Kyle. The crew that loads you is a local crew, the truck is staged ten minutes away, and the load day does not begin with a drive down from north Austin.

Why this market is different
A dedicated truck, not a shared trailer. Consolidated long-distance moving means your household rides with two others and delivers when the van line gets around to it. We load one truck with your goods only, nothing is transferred on the way, and the delivery window goes on paper before load day.
The same crew at both ends. The foreman who walks your Kyle house is the one placing furniture in the Frisco or Cypress kitchen. No destination agent, no second inventory.
I-35 is the lane, and we know its hours. Load days in Buda and Kyle are scheduled around the I-35 and FM 1626 morning and evening stack, and around the Hays CISD school-release window on residential streets. The line-haul north leaves before the Austin commute closes the interstate.
PCS moves run on orders, not on our calendar. Military households get the paperwork handled the way the orders require — weight tickets when needed, inventory that matches the government form, a delivery window that meets the report date. See the PCS guide linked below.
New-construction timing is the local risk. When the destination is a build that slips, storage in transit is planned and priced on the estimate rather than improvised the day the builder calls.
Our local process
Estimate. Photo or video walk-through for most households; in-home survey for larger homes or specialty items. Flat, itemized price from origin to destination with the delivery window written in. No phone quotes.
Pre-move, two to four weeks out. Estimate signed. Valuation tier chosen — Full Value Protection is the recommendation on any long haul. Storage in transit arranged if the closing date is uncertain. Military or relocation-company paperwork lodged before load day.
Packing. Full-service, partial (kitchen and fragile rooms), or packed by owner with those cartons marked on the inventory. Materials come off the truck.
Load day in Buda or Kyle. Crew and truck from the Kyle office. Full in-home wrap, floor protection, inventory signed at the door. Scheduled outside the I-35 and school-release windows.
Transit. In-Texas lanes — San Antonio, DFW, Houston — usually deliver the next business day. Out-of-state lanes run two to five days inside the written 1–3 day window, with dispatch reachable throughout.
Delivery. Same crew, same truck. Unloaded room by room, furniture placed, beds reassembled, debris removed. Exceptions noted on the bill of lading before the crew leaves.
Local pricing factors
Pricing depends on the move. Specific to Buda & Kyle — these are the levers we weigh when we write the estimate.
San Antonio is the shortest lane and the most frequent. DFW and Houston are next. Out-of-state lanes are priced by distance and stated on the estimate with their delivery window.
A Texas State apartment and a four-bedroom in Plum Creek are different trucks and different crews. The survey sizes the load; the price does not change at a reweigh.
Full-service, partial, or packed by owner. Materials are itemized separately.
Released Value Protection is the basic tier. Full Value Protection is recommended and matched to what is on the truck. See /glossary/full-value-protection.
Priced per day and stated up front when the destination closing may lag the load date — the common case with new construction.
Every long-distance move out of Buda, Kyle, or San Marcos gets a flat written estimate before the truck is loaded. The signed price is the delivery price.
Common scenarios
Video estimate, two-day pack, closed-van load from the Kyle office scheduled before the I-35 morning stack. Delivery the next business day, furniture placed to the floor plan by the same crew.
Inventory prepared to match the government paperwork, weight ticket pulled, delivery inside the report date. A short lane, run as a dedicated load so the household is not waiting on a consolidated trailer.
In-home survey, Full Value Protection, full-service pack. Two to five days in transit inside the written window; unloaded and placed by the crew that loaded in Buda.
A small dedicated load priced as one. Photo estimate, packed by owner, loaded in the morning and delivered the following day.
Inbound lane with storage in transit priced on the estimate from the start. Held, then delivered the day after the keys were handed over.
