The Gigafactory Texas on SH 130 just south of the airport employs 15,000+ workers and continues to grow — and the relocation flow into Del Valle's master plans (Easton Park and Goodnight Ranch the two big ones) is steady, weekly, and increasingly long-distance. Bay Area, Reno, the Northeast, and international Tesla transfers all land in Del Valle, and the pattern is consistent: a young or mid-career Tesla engineer relocating with a written estimate from one of the bigger national van lines that didn't account for the rapid SH 130 access, the new-construction punch-list phasing, or the airport-corridor logistics.

Easton Park is the dominant master plan — a Brookfield Residential development on the south side of Del Valle near the airport. Production homes 1,800 to 4,000 sqft from multiple builders, the Union Park amenity complex, an active community calendar, and rapid build-out through the late 2020s. Non-gated. HOA managed by FirstService Residential or similar (verify per phase). Common pattern: weekday vendor hours, weekend allowed but quieter, POD or dumpster notification expected.

Goodnight Ranch sits west off Bluff Springs Road — a smaller master plan with mixed-use design (production homes 1,500 to 3,500 sqft, alley-loaded garages in many phases, community-garden orientation), the Goodnight Ranch amenity center, and growing build-out. Non-gated.

Whisper Springs and Onion Creek Plantation cover the older established Del Valle sections — 1990s-2010s production homes, more rural feel than Easton Park, easier truck access.

McKinney Falls / Onion Creek corridor covers the southwest portion of the Del Valle hub — production homes with proximity to McKinney Falls State Park, mostly 2000s-2010s build.

    Use SH 130 toll for long-haul crews.

    Coming in from out of state, SH 130 lands directly at the Easton Park / Goodnight Ranch exits and bypasses the worst of the Austin-area stack. We bake the toll into the trip planning.

    Schedule around airport-corridor traffic.

    SH 71 between Del Valle and central Austin is heavy 7:00 to 9:00 AM and 4:00 to 7:00 PM with airport drop-offs / pickups and Tesla shift change overlapping. Start times before or after save crew hours.
