The tradeoff is a 15-to-25 minute commute east along SH 130 or US 79 to the Dell campus, the Samsung Taylor fab (which alone is pulling a new wave of relocations into Hutto's east-side new construction), or the Apple campus on Parmer.
Move-day timing here keys off SH 130 and US 79. The SH 130 toll is the artery for inbound long-haul crews and for any move with origin or destination in the Round Rock / Pflugerville triangle. The 7:00 to 8:30 AM and 4:30 to 6:00 PM tech-corridor commute stack on US 79 is real — start times before or after save crew hours on the clock.

Star Ranch is the largest established master plan — a golf-course community off SH 130 with production homes 2,500 to 4,200 sqft anchored by Star Ranch Golf Club. Multiple builder phases through the 2000s-2020s. Non-gated overall. HOA managed by Goodwin & Co. or similar (verify per section). Common pattern: weekday vendor hours, weekend allowed, POD or dumpster notification expected.
Hutto Highlands sits north off CR 137 / Limmer Loop — newer 2010s-2020s production homes 2,500 to 3,800 sqft, multiple builder phases, growing through the late 2020s.
Lookout at Brushy Creek sits on the Hutto / Round Rock border — production homes 2,500 to 3,500 sqft, easy access to the Brushy Creek regional trail and Lakeline retail.
Mager Meadows and Riverwalk cover the older established Hutto town center and the east-side sections along US 79.
Cottonwood Creek and Hutto Parke are smaller masterplans with newer production homes.

Coming in from out of state, SH 130 around the east side of Austin lands directly at the Hutto exits and bypasses the IH-35 stack. We bake the toll into the trip planning.

Star Ranch's course-adjacent sections sometimes have access rules during tournament weekends. We check the calendar before the start time gets confirmed.
